How to play
- Start typing an element name and pick a suggestion, or finish the name and press Guess. You have six guesses. Not sure where to begin? Iron, Copper and Silver are good first guesses.
- Family is the kind of element, written under each guess. Iron, copper and gold are one family, helium and neon are another. A tick means the answer is in the same family.
- Period is the element's row on the periodic table and Group is its column. Each shows your guess's number. If the triangle points up , the answer's number is higher than your guess. If it points down , the answer's number is lower. Amber means you are one away.
- State is solid, liquid or gas at room temperature. Mass has no number: the triangle points up if the answer is heavier than your guess and down if it is lighter.
- A new element arrives at midnight, your time. Come back daily to build a streak; your best streak is saved on this device.
- Finished early? Practise on as many random elements as you like. Practice rounds are never saved and never touch your streak.
